Overview
POSSector is a Flutter point-of-sale application for hospitality that runs on mobile and desktop. I developed and maintained it part-time.
My role
Flutter Developer (part-time): feature development, payment integration and the architectural refactoring of the codebase.
The challenge
The inherited codebase had grown around oversized god classes, which made it harder to change safely, while new features still had to keep shipping.
The solution
I analysed the existing architecture, decomposed the god classes and migrated the project to Clean Architecture incrementally, without halting feature delivery.
Architecture & implementation
- Integrated the Teya payment SDK on Android for in-app card payments.
- Incremental migration to Clean Architecture alongside ongoing feature work.
- Built a Python translation automation pipeline with Slack and Google Chat webhook integrations.
Key features
- Card payments
- Receipt printing
- Bill splitting
- Order management
- Multi-device sync
